JULY

Jax and I have been gone most of July and a lot has happened, hence I haven't posted forever...not that I am very good at being consistent at posting new and exciting things :)
Within the last few weeks Jax has three new teeth, which makes the total right now seven and he is crawling all over the place discovering that he can get himself from point A to point B all by himself if he wants to. It is such a pleasure to see the look of satisfaction on his face when he knows that he is doing something all on his own. Something he taught to himself is to make the sputtering sound for trucks and tractors...I guess it's just embedded into little boys DNA. :)
We spent a week down at the River house and Jaxon loves to splash and kick, I am so pleased that he loves the water. Its amazing how liberating it is to do things you love to do after almost 1 1/2 years of not being able to do something. I love the feeling of being pulled behind the boat waterskiing or wakeboarding, I love the anticipation of catching air on the wakeboard and hoping that I will land in one piece. :) It was a fun trip hanging out with the family! Jaxon loved playing with his cousins, its always fun watching and observing how Jaxon and his little cousin Sadie interact with each other. They are TOO cute!! We spent extra time in California with Grammie and Dude...aka...my mom and dad. Grammie taught Jax how to say "sit"...Jaxon loved to spend most of his time standing in front of the screen door watching Roxy (their Jack Russel) jump and run around. It was too cute to hear is little voice sweetly utter..."sss...sssit." While we were down there he also said , "Hi," for the first time, again...too cute. :) haha. Before we left California we had a July Birthday party for all the July birthdays in the family...Nick (brother), Kirra (niece), Gavin (newphew), & Jaxon. Nick and Jaxon share the same day. It was sad to leave because time passes too quickly while I'm down there, and too slowly till I can make it down again. It was strange to come back home because we were gone for so long, I kinda felt like what did I used to do and how do I get myself back into the swing of things? have you ever felt that way? hmmm...its kinda like after I graduated college and I wasn't doing anything, it took a long time to rid myself of the Sunday night stress...the feeling of there's something that I should be worried about and what am I forgetting. :) anyways....
SO we got back and started a swimming class that my friend Kimberly is teaching. Jaxon loves it. It startles him a little bit when I dunk him, but he is over it really quickly and goes back to jabbering, splashing and kicking.
Wednesday was Jaxon's 1st Birthday!! Such a big boy! It was fun, we Barbecued and of course Jax had his own piece of cake. At first Will was apprehensive about decorations...and I told him that even though he doesn't really know whats going on, he'll look at pictures and appreciate the memories we tried to create for him. Decorations aren't that expensive and they just make it more fun! :) Duh! Although, after it was all set up...Will really liked it and said that it was definitely worth it. :)
