JULY

Jax and I have been gone most of July and a lot has happened, hence I haven't posted forever...not that I am very good at being consistent at posting new and exciting things :)
Within the last few weeks Jax has three new teeth, which makes the total right now seven and he is crawling all over the place discovering that he can get himself from point A to point B all by himself if he wants to. It is such a pleasure to see the look of satisfaction on his face when he knows that he is doing something all on his own. Something he taught to himself is to make the sputtering sound for trucks and tractors...I guess it's just embedded into little boys DNA. :)
We spent a week down at the River house and Jaxon loves to splash and kick, I am so pleased that he loves the water. Its amazing how liberating it is to do things you love to do after almost 1 1/2 years of not being able to do something. I love the feeling of being pulled behind the boat waterskiing or wakeboarding, I love the anticipation of catching air on the wakeboard and hoping that I will land in one piece. :) It was a fun trip hanging out with the family! Jaxon loved playing with his cousins, its always fun watching and observing how Jaxon and his little cousin Sadie interact with each other. They are TOO cute!! We spent extra time in California with Grammie and Dude...aka...my mom and dad. Grammie taught Jax how to say "sit"...Jaxon loved to spend most of his time standing in front of the screen door watching Roxy (their Jack Russel) jump and run around. It was too cute to hear is little voice sweetly utter..."sss...sssit." While we were down there he also said , "Hi," for the first time, again...too cute. :) haha. Before we left California we had a July Birthday party for all the July birthdays in the family...Nick (brother), Kirra (niece), Gavin (newphew), & Jaxon. Nick and Jaxon share the same day. It was sad to leave because time passes too quickly while I'm down there, and too slowly till I can make it down again. It was strange to come back home because we were gone for so long, I kinda felt like what did I used to do and how do I get myself back into the swing of things? have you ever felt that way? hmmm...its kinda like after I graduated college and I wasn't doing anything, it took a long time to rid myself of the Sunday night stress...the feeling of there's something that I should be worried about and what am I forgetting. :) anyways....
SO we got back and started a swimming class that my friend Kimberly is teaching. Jaxon loves it. It startles him a little bit when I dunk him, but he is over it really quickly and goes back to jabbering, splashing and kicking.
Wednesday was Jaxon's 1st Birthday!! Such a big boy! It was fun, we Barbecued and of course Jax had his own piece of cake. At first Will was apprehensive about decorations...and I told him that even though he doesn't really know whats going on, he'll look at pictures and appreciate the memories we tried to create for him. Decorations aren't that expensive and they just make it more fun! :) Duh! Although, after it was all set up...Will really liked it and said that it was definitely worth it. :)

Early Birthday

So, we've had really bad weather up here in the Tri-Cities...which allows me to do more shopping...hehe. I have been watching the seasonal section (currently, it is "Whim by Cynthia Rowley") at Target for some balls to make Jax a ball pit for his birthday. luckily on Monday they finally went on sale. It was a score!! I bought 4 bags of balls which = 400 balls :) FUN!! At first Will thought I was crazy, but I opened one and within a minute balls were all over the room, and Jax couldn't get enough of them. Then Will decided he couldn't wait till Jaxon's birthday to set up the pool with 3 of the bags. Needless to say, Jax loves it!!!

Weekend in Utah

This last weekend we went to Utah to visit our family and attend a friends wedding. Surprisingly, Jaxon was really good in the car. :) Will and I are extremely lucky to have such a wonderfully tempered little boy. Even if it was just for a little bit, we really enjoyed visiting our family and friends. Every moment counts, because really... you never know when you will see someone again. During the wedding, it really touched Will and I both when the sealer shared a story about just before his wife died..."I kissed my wife every night before we went to bed...the night before she passed I kissed her as usual and she said, 'Honey can I have another'... We should have happy good buys, because we never know when it will be our last."

It was such a beautiful time of year to visit the SLC Temple, the flowers were out in full color. Which created perfect family photo opportunities, hehe...

Yeah for SPRING! It's amazing how refreshing sun and flowers can be, I have learned to really appreciate them while they are around...because the time between is long and cold.

Blues eyes...
chicks dig it!

Jaxon's handsome blue eyes and infectious giggle get me everyday... it makes everything worth it.

Jax LoVes his cous' Ashlyn.

"Does this shirt make me look fat?" hehe... cute boy.

Saturday afternoon we went to visit the Powell family in Ogden. It was too cute when Jax could not get enough of Sandy...this little boys LOVES dogs!

I guess its about time?

I' ve been meaning to get this blog started...maybe it's just me, but with a little one it is really hard to get things done on the computer during the day. I pretty much have to do it all at night and by that time I am wiped out. Hopefully after teething and this new cold Jax will give me a little more free time. Awhh...the joys of motherhood. haha. Anyways, my two little boys (Will & Jax) are fast asleep in their beds, which gives me a minute to at least get one official post on our new family blog. Hip Hip HOoray!

Updates:
Will is still happily working as a project manager and estimator for a local construction company and enjoys mowing our lawn to create perfect lines. :)
Jaxon is 9 months and as cute as can be! He has four teeth, loves to flirt with the ladies and chill with the boys.
As for me Kaili, besides my playdates with Jax everyday, I am currently teaching a dance class twice a week.

I am so excited for the summer, my pastey white skin can use some nourishing sunlight!
